From the NYC Dept. of Health and Mental Hygeine. we obtained health reports comparing the hospital admission rates due to asthma and heart disease in Canarsie/Flatlands and all of NYC.
In order to derive our approximations of how many grams of chemicals and toxins were emitted daily by automobiles, it was neccessary to obtain reports from the U.S. Census and New York City Dept. of Transportation regarding average traffic volume per day and total chemical emissions, in specific locations in Canarsie/Flatlands.

These reports provided us with road maps for the Canarsie/ Flatlands areas.
