Lead poisoning is a prevalent problem of New
York City. The effect of lead in children may result in escalating
problems throughout their lives. We, four CUNY Honors
College students, investigated lead poisoning in New York City while
attempting to conclude whether or not New York City has done enough to rectify
its lead poisoning problem. After analyzing data, legislature, and
court decisions, we have concluded that in comparison to former actions taken
by New York City which addressed former issues (such as asbestos), New York
City has not done nearly enough to control its lead poisoning problem and
that the leading bodies of New York City need to do much more to resolve
the lead poisoning issue. The Basics The Data Regulations Justice & Conclusion Resources This site was compiled and executed by: Kristy Puchko, Chasya Milgrom, John Maher and Polina Pecherskaya. |
